🔹 Important Recent Changes

1.     Strict Document Rules:
→ From August 2025, the Swiss Embassy (via VFS Global) will only accept documents listed on the official checklist for the specific visa category. Extra or additional papers not on checklist will be rejected.

2.     Bank Statement Limitation:
→ Only the first 3 and last 3 pages of your bank statement will be accepted, even if your statement is longer.

3.     Biometrics Entry/Exit System (EES):
→ From October 2025, Schengen countries will use the Entry/Exit System — border control will register facial & fingerprint biometrics digitally.

4.     Electronic Visa in Future:
→ In 2026, Schengen may move to a digital visa system, potentially removing physical visa stickers — but this may not be live in India until later.
